Dream Big *
Once upon a time, there was a lady named Coreen. She was a Nurse Practitioner who worked with children. She loved her job and worked very hard to achieve that goal. In 2019, she suffered a stroke at age 57. Fortunately, her cognitive abilities were not affected, but she was left with some mobility issues. Sadly, she has been unable to return to the career she loved.
Coreen did not know what to do. So, she decided to reinvent herself. Some of the activities that brought her joy were drawing and painting. She has put her efforts into writing children’s books to accompany her illustrations and has self-published many of them on Amazon.com.
Like magic, the words and ideas seemed to flow. She writes about things she knows and loves, like her lifelong love for horses and Teddy, her Icelandic gelding. She is also obsessed with genealogy, which led her to write her first novel, The Blewett Legacy.
Coreen is currently working on her second novel about her pioneer family who crossed the prairie westward by wagon train on the California and Oregon trails.
Coreen’s future looks bright. She is determined to find her happily-ever-after. All you have to do is dream.
